Bridgeport, CT (June 30, 2026) – Two Bridgeport men were left in critical but stable condition after a motorcycle and SUV collided on Sunday evening, June 28, at Iranistan Avenue and Laurel Avenue in Bridgeport.
Police said mutual aid went to the intersection around 6:39 p.m. after the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center first reported that two pedestrians had been struck and were unresponsive. When officers arrived, they found two men lying on the sidewalk while emergency units provided aid.
Both men were taken to an area hospital by AMR. Police said a 36-year-old man had been riding a motorcycle south on Iranistan Avenue with a 30-year-old passenger.
The early review found that the motorcycle continued through the intersection of Iranistan Avenue and Laurel Avenue before it collided with an SUV. Police said a 24-year-old Ansonia resident was driving the SUV.
The two men had serious injuries and were listed in critical but stable condition as of Monday. The SUV driver was not hurt and is cooperating with the inquiry.
