New Britain, CT (March  6, 2024) – According to information provided by police in New Britain, one person was killed in a traffic accident on the afternoon of March 4. At approximately 3:20 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of the incident on Route 9 between exits 37 and 38. Troopers report a vehicle struck a light pole under circumstances that have not been reported at this time. The driver was identified as Anthony Montimny, 21, of New Haven. 

Serious injuries were reported as a result of the incident, and the Collision Analysis Reconstruction Squad continues to investigate the details of the deadly incident.
