Monroe, CT (July 9, 2026) – Six people were taken to the hospital after a three-car crash in Monroe on Monday evening, July 6.
Officers were called to the intersection of Wheeler Road and Route 110 at about 6:15 p.m. Investigators said a vehicle traveling north on Wheeler Road failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by a vehicle traveling on Route 110.
Police said the crash then involved a second vehicle on Route 110. Three drivers and three passengers were injured as a result of these wrecks.
Fire officials said Monroe EMS took all six people to the hospital. Officers detoured traffic while they documented the roadway.
Authorities continue to review what led to the collision.
