Milford, CT (May 12, 2025) – A tragic two-vehicle crash on Boston Post Road has claimed the life of a Milford resident, authorities confirmed.
According to the Milford Police Department, Frances Sullivan, 59, was a passenger in a Toyota Corolla involved in the collision on May 10. She succumbed to her injuries the following day, on Sunday, at Bridgeport Hospital.
The accident occurred around 6 p.m. Saturday. A vehicle with Rhode Island plates was heading northbound on Milford Parkway and entered the intersection at Boston Post Road. At that same moment, a Toyota Corolla registered in Connecticut was traveling west along Boston Post Road. The vehicles collided in the intersection, resulting in a violent crash.
Emergency crews from the Milford Fire Department responded to the scene and found both occupants of the Corolla trapped inside. First responders worked quickly to extricate them from the wreckage.
Both Sullivan and the driver of the Corolla, a 64-year-old Milford man, were rushed to Bridgeport Hospital with critical injuries. Sullivan later passed away due to the severity of her wounds. A third individual, who was in the other vehicle, sustained minor injuries and was also transported to a local hospital, officials said. Milford Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
