Connecticut Car Accidents
Fatal car accidents remain a heartbreaking reality in Connecticut, with hundreds of families affected every year. Recent data shows that the state records more than 300 traffic-related deaths annually, each one leaving behind grieving loved ones facing unimaginable loss and often significant financial burdens.
Nationwide, over 6 million crashes occur each year, and far too many result in fatalities. In Connecticut, driver negligence is among the leading causes of deadly accidents. Distractions such as texting or phone use, excessive speed, impaired driving, and drowsy driving all play a devastating role. National statistics reveal that speeding alone contributes to more than 11,000 crash deaths across the U.S. each year.
When a life is taken because of another driver’s careless or reckless actions, the victim’s family may have grounds to pursue a wrongful death claim. While financial compensation cannot bring a loved one back, it can ease the burdens of funeral expenses, medical bills, lost income, and the emotional suffering that follows such a tragedy.
