Danbury, CT (May 26, 2026) – A boat fire caused injuries on Candlewood Lake near the Hayestown Road boat launch in Danbury on Monday, May 25, around 5:00 p.m. Six people were on board and evacuated the vessel before emergency units responded.
When crews arrived, they found the boat fully engulfed in flames. They were able to put out the fire.
One person was taken to a hospital with burn injuries. A second person was also taken in for evaluation. Names, ages, and the condition of those hurt were not released at the time of this report.
