Ansonia, CT (February 10, 2025) – A man suffered injuries in a pedestrian crash in Ansonia on Friday night, February 7. According to reports from police, the collision occurred when a 20-year-old Stratford man was standing outside of his vehicle in the left lane of Route 8. A vehicle traveling in the left lane of the highway reportedly struck the man before hitting his vehicle.

The victim was taken to Griffin Hospital and later transported to Yale New Haven Hospital to receive treatment for life-threatening injuries. His name has not been reported at this time. A 20-year-old passenger inside the man’s vehicle was taken to Bridgeport Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Police in Ansonia continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the wreck.
