Waterbury, CT (July 22, 2024) – Four lives were taken in a traffic accident in Waterbury. Reports from police show the incident took place at around 11:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19. It occurred in the 600 block of Thomaston Avenue between two vehicles. Police say one was headed south on Thomaston when it crashed into another vehicle traveling north in the same area. Both vehicles caught fire after the crash and became engulfed in flames. Three people inside one vehicle and one inside the other were pronounced deceased on-site. Police have not identified the deceased victims at this time.
