Traffic Accidents in Connecticut

Bus accidents remain a serious concern across Connecticut, especially in busy cities like Waterbury. Intersections such as Chase Avenue see heavy morning traffic, and a single careless moment can put dozens of people, including schoolchildren, in danger.

The most common causes of major bus crashes include:

  • Distracted driving such as texting or adjusting controls
  • Speeding which reduces reaction time and increases impact severity
  • Driver fatigue during early morning commutes
  • Failing to yield or running red lights at intersections
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs

Collisions involving school buses can be especially dangerous. Although buses are designed to protect passengers, children can still suffer head injuries, broken bones, and emotional trauma. Parents may face unexpected medical bills, time away from work, and the challenge of helping their child heal.

If another driver’s negligence caused the crash, you may be entitled to significant compensation. However, claims involving buses or multiple vehicles can be complex, making experienced legal help essential.
