Glastonbury, CT (November 6, 2025) – A 15-year-old student, Dillon Dupuis, from Glastonbury High School, died on Tuesday, November 4, from injuries sustained in a multi-car crash that took place a few days earlier along Route 94 in Glastonbury.
The violent collision happened on October 24, around 9 p.m., when three vehicles collided on the busy roadway. The impact crushed one of the cars, leaving multiple people trapped inside.
Firefighters worked urgently to free the victims. Paramedics treated them at the scene before rushing both to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Dillon fought for his life for several days but later died from his injuries. The second victim remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
Officers spent several hours on the scene, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses, to determine what led to the collision. Detectives are working to determine whether speeding, distraction, or reckless driving played a role. The Glastonbury Police Department is leading the investigation and will release updates as more information becomes available.
We extend our deepest condolences to Dillon’s family during this challenging time. Our thoughts are also with the injured victim, and we wish him a full and swift recovery.
Fatal Multi-Vehicle Accidents in Connecticut
Serious and fatal car crashes continue to claim lives across Connecticut each year. High-speed roads like Route 94 often see deadly collisions that leave families devastated and communities in grief.
The most common causes of multi-vehicle accidents include:
- Distracted driving, such as texting or looking away from the road
- Excessive speed that limits control and stopping distance
- Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Fatigue or drowsy driving on long stretches of road
- Poor visibility and weather conditions
These crashes can change lives in seconds. Families lose loved ones, survivors face long recoveries, and the emotional pain can feel unbearable. Along with grief, many are left struggling with overwhelming medical or funeral costs and uncertainty about the future.
When a family loses someone in a crash caused by negligence, they may be entitled to file a wrongful death claim. A successful claim can provide compensation for medical bills, lost income, funeral expenses, and emotional suffering. While no amount of money can replace a loved one, justice can bring closure and help secure financial stability.
