Connecticut Car Accidents
Every day, car accidents across Connecticut leave people with life-changing injuries, and in far too many cases, result in loss of life. The state averages roughly 314 fatal crashes annually. While some of these incidents stem from mechanical failures or hazardous road conditions, the overwhelming majority are linked to driver negligence.
National data shows that more than 90% of traffic accidents in the U.S. are caused by human error. Behaviors such as distracted driving, impairment, excessive speed, and fatigue are leading contributors. Tragically, over 70% of fatal crashes in the country are the result of a driver’s negligent actions.
