Old Saybrook, CT (August 6, 2025) — Four people were transported to local hospitals following a head-on collision on Boston Post Road Tuesday afternoon, according to authorities.
The crash occurred just before 4:20 p.m. in the 1500 block of Boston Post Road, near Action Sports and Atlantic Seafood. Old Saybrook police, fire crews, and emergency medical personnel responded quickly to the scene, where they found three vehicles involved.
According to police, an eastbound vehicle had crossed the center line and collided with a westbound pickup truck. The impact caused the eastbound vehicle to veer off the road and strike a parked car in a nearby lot.
Two juveniles who were inside the parked vehicle were transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for evaluation. The driver and passenger from the eastbound vehicle were taken to Middlesex Shoreline Clinic with injuries.
Photos shared by the Old Saybrook Fire Department showed significant damage to the involved vehicles, including a silver pickup truck with a crushed front end and a white SUV with rear-end damage. The incident is under investigation.
