Wolcott, CT (June 18, 2025) – A 27-year-old man has died following a head-on crash that occurred Sunday night in Wolcott, according to local authorities.
Police identified the victim as Markus Andrew Salinas of Bristol. The collision involved two vehicles—one driven by a male and the other by a female.
Emergency crews responded to the scene on County Road between Evers Drive and East Street. The male driver was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition and later died from his injuries. The female driver sustained minor injuries and was also taken to a local hospital for treatment.
County Road was temporarily shut down as police conducted an investigation, but has since been reopened.
