Prospect, CT (March 26, 2026) – A 22-year-old motorcyclist died following a crash on Wednesday, March 25, in Prospect. The incident occurred at approximately 10:37 a.m. at the intersection of Route 69 and Talmadge Hill Road.
Witnesses said the motorcyclist, identified as Alexander Kaklyugin, was traveling north on Route 69 when a 2023 Nissan Rogue attempted a left turn onto the roadway. The vehicle struck the motorcycle during the turn.
The impact caused Kaklyugin to be thrown from the motorcycle, resulting in fatal injuries at the scene. Emergency crews arrived and confirmed that he died from injuries sustained in the crash shortly after impact.
The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene following the collision and cooperated with authorities. Authorities have not released additional details about injuries to others involved in the crash.
Officials closed Route 69 near Talmadge Hill Road while crews gathered information and managed traffic flow. The investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
