Torrington, CT (December 16, 2024) – Four people were hospitalized, two with serious injuries, following a collision into a bakery in Torrington on December 13. At approximately 11:45 a.m., the collision occurred at 266 Main Street at the Rosa Vega Bakery. Police report that two individuals were taken to the hospital by ambulance while two others were airlifted to the hospital by LifeStar. A 19-year-old who was inside the bakery at the time of the accident is currently in critical condition. Another 60-year-old individual who was also inside the bakery is being treated for serious injuries. A third individual inside the bakery, along with the driver, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, police said. Firefighters report that the building sustained significant damage in the crash. According to police reports, a vehicle traveling in Pearl Street crashed into the building. Police continue to investigate the details of the incident.
