Bozrah, CT (April 10, 2024) – A traffic collision in Bozrah injured a 19-year-old passenger on Sunday, April 7. At approximately 3:50 p.m., a 2012 Mazda 3i was headed south on Bozrah Street near the intersection with Bishop Road when the vehicle left the southbound side of the roadway and struck two mailboxes and two utility poles. It then moved to the northbound shoulder and struck a metal guardrail. The vehicle continued to travel across both lanes of traffic before it struck an embankment and stopped. A 19-year-old passenger was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, causing him to sustain serious injuries. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment shortly after the accident happened. He was then flown to another hospital via Life Star due to the extent of his injuries. Police in Bozrah continue to investigate.
