Waterbury, CT (June 17, 2026) – An 18-year-old moped rider suffered serious injuries on Tuesday evening, June 16, after colliding with a pickup truck on the 1000 block of Meriden Road in Waterbury.
Emergency crews arrived just before 7:00 p.m. Officials said a 65-year-old Cheshire man driving the pickup was turning into a private driveway when the crash happened. Crews took the teen to a nearby hospital with serious internal injuries.
