Willimantic, CT (February 28, 2024) – A pedestrian was injured in a traffic accident in Willimantic on Tuesday, February 27. At approximately 9:40 p.m., the incident occurred at the intersection of Main Street and Tingley Street. A 68-year-old man was reportedly hit by a car in the area under circumstances still being investigated by police. Emergency crews arrived at the scene shortly after the crash occurred in an effort to render aid to the injured victim. The man was found conscious with moderate injuries by paramedics who then transported him to Windham Hospital for treatment. His current health condition has not been reported at this time.
