Truck Accidents in Connecticut

Connecticut’s highways and rural roads see a steady flow of large commercial vehicles each day, but when a crash involves a tractor-trailer, the results are often catastrophic. Due to their sheer size and weight, collisions with big rigs frequently lead to devastating injuries or loss of life. In recent years, Connecticut has seen a rise in fatal accidents involving tractor-trailers, highlighting the growing danger these heavy vehicles can pose when something goes wrong on the road.

Across the United States, thousands of people are killed annually in crashes involving large trucks, and many of these incidents occur on state roads like I-84, I-91, and Route 6 in Connecticut. Whether due to driver inattention, fatigue, speeding, mechanical failure, or unsafe road conditions, these accidents often leave behind grieving families and communities searching for answers.

When a fatal tractor-trailer crash is caused by negligence—whether on the part of the truck driver, the trucking company, or another party—surviving loved ones may have legal options. A wrongful death claim can provide compensation for funeral and burial expenses, medical bills, lost income, and the emotional toll endured by the victim’s family.
